A unique way of celebrating bonfire!
First parade in 1928…. and still going strong in 2015!
The evening starts at around 6.30pm with a torch lit procession. See the Bishop of Bonfire, his choirboys our Bonfire Society effigies (Guy Fawkes, poor Anne Boleyn with her head tucked underneath her arm and General Wolfe). Over 1,000 flaming torches illuminate a procession of around 20 floats, walking parties, visiting Bonfire Societies and marching bands. We then make our way to the Bonfire Field (tickets available before the event or at the gate) for an amazing firework display and the burning of not one but TWO huge Guys, each standing well over 10 metres tall. The first is Guy himself, but after that comes our infamous Celebrity
THE FAMILY CAN ENJOY CHILDREN'S FAIRGROUND ATTRACTIONS AND FOODSTALLS ON THE RECREATION GROUND BEFORE OUR AMAZING FIREWORK DISPLAY
